Career & scenarios

Career levels and what they unlock, the goal chapters, the six scenarios and the Resort of the Year report.

#Career or Sandbox?

Career (the default for new games) gives your resort a level from 1 to 6. A short list of big items unlocks as you level up. Sandbox unlocks everything from the start and tracks no level. The goal chain works in both.

#Levels

The Career HUD: top bar, a level badge on the goals card and the dock along the bottom.
Career: the goals card carries your level badge; click it for the next level's requirements.

A level is reached when all of its requirements hold. Levels are latched: once reached, never lost, even after a bad winter.

A level-up celebration banner over the resort.
Levelling up unlocks bigger lifts and buildings.

On the level-up card, Show me opens the drawer that holds a new unlock and points at its card with a highlight, so you do not have to hunt for it.

#What unlocks when

Everything not listed is available from the start (including the Landscape drawer apart from digging ponds, and the starter chain of lifts, lodge, ticket office, parking, ski school, patrol hub, first-aid hut and the ranger station).

Level Unlocks

#Goals

The goals card walks you through four chapters and twenty goals (for example Paint an easy run, Green, blue and red runs, Open a black run): Season 1: Open for business, Local favourite, Regional name and Alpine destination. Three goals are active at a time; finishing a chapter opens the next. Each goal pays a small grant. Click Show me to jump the camera to the relevant spot, and the card can be collapsed.

#Ranger Rudi's advice

Rudi is the friendly ranger in the bottom-left corner. Every in-game hour he checks the state of your resort, such as long queues, missing patrol, unused lifts, an icy piste, a bear without a ranger station, low cash and a price far from fair, and shows up to three pieces of advice, most urgent first. Show me points at the place; Dismiss snoozes an item for 30 days. Advice goes away as soon as the problem does.

#Scenarios

The scenario picker with six scenario cards and star difficulty.
Six scenarios, from a gentle valley to the Alpine Giant.

Scenarios are handcrafted challenges with a fixed map, season, starting situation and objectives. Reach the required objectives to win; bonus objectives raise your score and earn a medal (bronze, silver or gold). Pick them under Scenarios on the main menu or in the New Game dialog.

#Resort of the Year

At the end of every in-game year (180 days) the game shows a report card: guests, income, rating, best moments and awards, with charts. It pauses the game while open and you can switch it off in Settings; past reports stay under Finance → Reports. The report can be saved as a PNG on your device. Nothing is ever uploaded.
